Highly motivated individual required to join Bolsover District Council's busy Revenues & Benefits Team.

To be successful you will need:

  • _demonstrable working knowledge of current Housing Benefit/Council Tax Support Regulations; or_
- _demonstrable working knowledge of current Council Tax Regulations, _
- _knowledge of the Data Protection Act and Freedom of Information Act,_
- _recent proven practical experience of working within a Revenues or Benefits office,_
- _proven practical experience of dealing with members of the public and other organisations,_
- _computer literacy,_
- _excellent customer service skills,_
- _good verbal and written communication skills,_
- _the ability to demonstrate strong customer focus and a commitment to service improvements,_
- _the ability to work within a team environment using own initiative and displaying a responsible, professional and flexible attitude,_
- _self-motivation and the ability to organize tasks and duties effectively,_
- _the ability to analyse situations and make decisions,_
- _the ability to work with accuracy to competing deadlines,_
- _the ability to display tact and discretion as the work of the section involves sensitive and confidential information,_
- _your own transport and current full driving licence. Alternative arrangements may be agreed with applicants with a relevant disability._
