North Wales

40 hours per week

Permanent

£32,590 per annum increasing to £33,202 in January.


Here at ClwydAlyn, we are looking to recruit a Multiskilled Operative to join the Responsive and Voids team around North Wales.

You will be responsible for all jobs that encompass multi skilled requirements and associated works to domestic and commercial properties.

Experience of joinery, associated plumbing, plastering, tiling and decorating skills all to a good, professional standard is required.

This post is a permanent basis in North Wales.

Who are we looking for?


We are looking for someone who can work efficiently and effectively as part of our Maintenance Department carrying out works in the following area: - Planned Kitchen & Bathroom Upgrade Programme, Planned Heating Upgrade Programme, Responsive & Emergency Repairs, Empty Property Refurbishment works and Routine Repairs.

Also, ensure that a high standard of repair or replacement work is carried out without exception.


To offer resident focused support utilising ClwydAlyn's core values of 'Trust, Hope and Kindness' and to support fellow operatives with either technical knowledge, guidance, and physical support.

All work is carried out and completed to both a safe and high standard while support/mentor/train/guiding operatives that are under your supervision and control, in carrying out works to both a high standard and adequate safety.


We are looking for person who can manage their own workload and the workload of others, as well as be able to prioritise jobs accordingly and someone who can carry out all work to an excellent standard, comply with H&S, current building regulations & most importantly be able to think on their feet/outside the box.

You will have experience of working within the housing repair and maintenance sector. You will also have a good understanding of Health and Safety issues related to working within occupied domestic properties.


Skills and Qualifications required for the role:

  • You will hold a clean full driving licence.
  • City & Guilds or NVQ in at least 1 x relevant trade
  • The ability to work as part of a team.
  • You will have a skill set of at least 4 trades e.g., plastering, joinery, tiling, flooring.
  • An exceptionally good understanding of tools and equipment to be used.
  • An exceptionally good understanding of onsite H&S
  • Have good IT skills and competency. Training will be provided on Group specific IT systems.
  • Have the ability to complete timesheets and log information electronically.
  • You will be part of an oncall rota.

This role requires an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check which we pay for.
