Data Analyst

Remote / occasional travel in to Farnborough, Hampshire


Data Analyst required by an award-winning Defence & Technology company providing Agile, fail-safe, fail-fast, secure by design on-prem and cloud next generation technology solutions in to the Defence & Security sector.

The Data Analyst will have strong experiencewithin data analysis, including skills & experience of the Pega platform and strong SQL.

A few details about the role
As a Data Analyst you will have an interested and varied role.

Some of your responsibilties will include:

  • Carry out structured data analytics with the goal of identifying maturity using the following data quality dimensions: Completeness; Uniqueness; Consistency; Timeliness; Validity; Accuracy; Background context.
  • Produce clear Data Analysis Assessments incorporating statistical evidence, existing data quality practices, and empirical conclusions.
  • Visualise data quality statistics in a concise and meaningful way, collating information from various sources.
  • Clarify and summarise existing data quality rules within the business.
  • With key stakeholders, identify businesscritical data and risks of low data quality on the usage of this data.
  • Recommend improvements to data analytic processes throughout the data lifecycle to systematically improve maturity across the data quality dimensions.

What you will need

  • A proven background/commercial experience in Data Analytics and assessment.
  • Experience of data analytic practices and methodologies across multiple organisations or divisions.
  • The ability to communicate and liaise effectively in an advisory capacity.
  • A familiarity with technologyagnostic data architecture.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with high levels of customer empathy.
  • A strong SQL background
  • A familiarity with the Pega Platform (previously: PRPC) data structures and principles.
  • A background working within the Defence industry (preferred).
