Introduction:


We're looking for a dynamic and collaborative Environment Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist to be based at our Gatwick MRO facility.


This position will complement the existing onsite EHS Specialist and the wider UK team with consideration of the growth of Boeing activities in the UK.

The purpose of the role will be to provide practical support to management and employees to enable us to achieve a high standard of EHS performance at this location and provide support for other locations within the region as required.


The Role:


  • The purpose of this role will be to provide practical support to management and employees to Enable Boeing to achieve a high standard of EHS performance.
  • The role will cover the Boeing operation at the Gatwick MRO facility and support operations at our Flight Training Campus in Crawley.
  • This role will work closely with the rest of the UK EHS team.

Responsibilities:


  • Providing daytoday EHS support for risk assessment, EHS procedures, communications, EHS inspections, induction training, EHS observations, Emergency procedures, accident investigations, and environmental compliance and sustainability.
  • Preparing compliance and technical reports to meet Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) regulatory requirements.
  • Performing program reviews, investigating incidents and providing corrective action to prevent reoccurrence of incidents.
  • Evaluating workplace hazards. Providing input to new business opportunities and facilities projects to ensure compliance.
  • Conducting education and training to support regulatory and business requirements.
  • Evaluating impact of new regulations on company operations.
  • Reviewing vendor, contractor and supplier activities for EHS compliance for site processes and program goals.

Required Qualifications:


  • Key skills of influencing people, communication, problem solving, pragmatism and flexibility.
  • Good IT skills are important.

Preferable Qualifications:


  • Aircraft hangar maintenance environment experience.
