Description of Business Line


Our Global Markets function is a trusted partner to external clients (Corporates, Financial institutions and Asset Managers) in market activities, offering a cross-expertise in Research, Investment and Risk Solutions, Execution and Prime Services.

Cross Asset Sales provides investors with multi-asset market solutions.

It addresses the needs of distributors, offering bespoke services to support then in the design, marketing and after-sale service of their products.

It also serves institutional investors with their asset liability management, capital protection, hedging or the optimization of their overall return.


Objectives:

  • A fully coordinated global cash to structured Institutional & Corporate sales force with strong local footprint and coverage to offer optimum client service.
  • Crossasset offer leveraging all channels from voice, exchange to ecommerce to offer clients a full and comprehensive product set from cash to derivatives in all assets, and from pre
- to post-trade services.

  • Deep sectorial approach with asset specialists offering clientdriven advisory and intelligent solutions, supported by leading crossasset research.
  • A local organisation allowing deep knowledge of the local constraints of clients across all assets.
  • Specific focus on the pension and insurance client segment in the UK
  • Improve and future proof the cross asset solutions platform by advising on the product suite with all stakeholders on trading/structuring and management side

Key Responsibilities

  • The role is UK cross asset solutions sales and heading this effort on the commodity side
  • Define and implement a business plan to develop the SG offering
  • Initiating and developing relationships
  • Onboarding new clients, ensuring legal documentation is in place to allow execution of transactions
  • Act as the lead relationship manager within the commodities space
  • Respond to client requests relating to products, events, documentation
  • Analyse, investigate, research, manage and resolve queries
  • Generate recurring revenue streams by enhancing new client products matching their needs and assisting in the development of new client prospects
  • In this role, the sales producer would be expected to trade across the suite of cross asset solution product set, onboard and execute commodity index and QIS trades
  • They would help build and provide expertise as to the building and future proofing the product platform that would best serve this client base.
  • Conduct the development of the commodity range of indices developed within MARK (whether in internal or external sponsorship) in cooperation with the relevant Business Lines in open architecture as the case may be, according to the following objectives:
  • Push the commodities QIS offering in a pro-active way (internal communication, push to sales team, client meetings).
  • Bring necessary technical support and training to sales, pricing and trading teams.

Profile required:


Experience / Competencies Required

  • Detailed knowledge of the commodities market understand benchmark indices with knowledge of Quant Investment Strategies and research
  • Strong sales background with proven ability to develop new clients and build on existing relationships
  • Comfortable in executing transactions work out prices, accurately book trades, ensure all documentation is place to transact
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to interact and communicate convincingly at all levels with the key decision makers in a variety of business lines, management and control functions across the bank.
  • Strong analytical skills and an aptitude for numbers with excellent attention to detail
  • Solutionfocused, serviceoriented and proactive
  • Team player, proactively shares information and collaborates with others
