Description

Our client is a well-known and very reputable financial services business who are recruiting an astute individual to provide data protection advice and support to key stakeholders, both directly and by supporting their team of Risk & Compliance Partners.

Key Responsibilities:
Technical

Provide support in maintaining an effective data protection framework, including polices and supporting documentation.
Manage the implementation of data protection framework across operational and change activities of the business.
Assist with the timely management and investigation of any data related breaches.
Producing inputs for the relevant sections of regular Risk & Compliance reporting to Senior Management, Executive Management and Board (including Board subcommittees).

Stakeholder Management

Engage with stakeholders on BAU and change activities across the business to ensure data protection matters are appropriately identified through completion of DPIAs.
Work with stakeholders, directly and supporting the team of Risk & Compliance Partners, to propose and agree actions required to mitigate key risks.

Key Attributes:

Good technical background of data protection requirements as applicable to General Insurance, Consumer Credit and Mortgage products.
Good understanding of emerging UK and European legislation, codes of practice and industry guidelines affecting the business.

The role could be based in either Manchester, Cheshire or London and the client is adopting a hybrid working approach that will involve 2 days in the office and 3 days from home.

Salary is commensurate with experience but will reflect the significance ofthe role.
