The School of Sport and Exercise Sciences seeks to develop its world-leading profile by the appointment of leading academics across the core disciplines of Sport and Exercise Sciences.

The school has a national and international reputation for world-leading provision of Sport and Exercise Psychology education and training across undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

Thus, the appointee to this post will make broad contributions to the academic work of the School of Sport and Exercise Sciences within the discipline of Sport and Exercise Psychology.


The school expects the appointee to contribute to the Sport and Exercise Psychology curriculum and take responsibility for the effective and efficient delivery of teaching programmes/modules in relevant undergraduate and postgraduate lectures, tutorials and seminars, supervise undergraduate and postgraduate student dissertations and applied placements / practice, and provide personal tutoring.


The school also expects the appointee to engage in research and scholarly activity in their area of expertise to extend the school's high quality research outputs and impact within the Sport and Exercise Psychology discipline.

The appointee will work collaboratively with academics across the world-leading Research Institute for Sport and Exercise Sciences, including colleagues in the Applied Sport Psychology Research group and potentially the Physical Activity Exchange and Football Exchange.


The appointee will also be expected to contribute to broader school strategic agendas, including recruitment and outreach activity, and fulfil any other duties commensurate with the grade as deemed necessary by the Director of School or Line Manager.
