Description

Following the successful implementation of specialist mental health practitioners in GP practices across Gloucestershire, we are looking to expand to expand our Mental Health Practitioner's team.

We are looking to recruit a Band 7 Mental health Practitioner under the Additional Roles Reimbursement Scheme (MHP ARRS).

This is an exciting opportunity to improve the experience for individuals with mental health needs through offering early assessment and access to treatment and support to promote mental health and well-being within primary care.

This Post covers:
South Cotswold Primary Care Network

The ARRS Practitioner will be an integrated member of the GP practice team and will take the lead in ensuring best practice is delivered across your allocated GP surgeries.

The role requires working autonomously in providing high volume assessment, diagnosis, and treatment appointments, advice and support for GPs in caring for other patients with mental health issues, improve links with and navigation to community providers and will also support the practice with providing annual reviews for patients on the practices' Mental Health Registers.

The MH Practitioner will typically work within a number of GP practices within a specific Primary Care Network.

At Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust, we are supportive of the people we care for in the community and aim to provide a fully responsive service to everyone who needs it.

This is the same approach we take for our employees.

We look to value the skills and experiences of those we work with, whether they are service users, carers, families or those looking to work with us.

Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust is part of the NHS. We treat NHS patients according to NHS principles and standards.

The difference is the Trust is accountable to local people, rather than to Government, and so we are able to work closely with our community to develop services in the way that best suits the needs of local people.

The qualification, training & experience requirements for the role are underlined in the Job Description/Person Specification.

Closing date: 5th April 2023
