Active Recruiters are pleased to be recruiting for our leading Freight client who are looking to recruit an experienced Transport Planner to join the team

You will work in a busy transport office and will oversee the planning of loads and deliveries throughout the UK and across Europe

Duties include but not limited to:

  • Work closely with the Transport team and manage a fleet of 12 vehicles
  • Maintain vehicle compliance being mindful of drivers hours
  • Use internal tracking systems to support customers with an exact delivery times
  • Communicate with customers on delays of shipments
  • General administration
  • Provide support to the team members

Ideally you will:

  • Have experience in load planning (training will be provided)
  • Knowledge of European transport
  • Have experience of pallet network
  • Good communication skills
  • Understanding of drivers hours and compliance
  • CPC (Transport Management) desirable but not essential
