Market Research Interviewer

The Opportunity:


Are you our next Market Research Interviewer We are looking for someone who can help us redefine what's possible for our Commercial Team.

What is the role?


The Market Research team undertake a range of surveys to provide the data that ensures we can provide the best service to our customers.

If you enjoy interacting with the public and are interested in helping to develop the airport of the future, then this is the role for you.

It entails working both landside & airside, across all areas of the airport, acting as an ambassador through positive interactions.


Surveys are primarily conducted on handheld devices & for the most part you will work alone, on a shift basis.

Times vary depending on the type of survey and the passengers/flights being targeted - but a typical shift is normally 7 hours and can be rostered any time between 0500 and 2300.

This position is a part time role working across all 7 days.


What you'll be doing

  • Facetoface interviews using tablet PCs.
  • Occasional Facetoface interviews with passengers using structured questionnaires.
  • Ad Hoc surveys as required by the business.
  • Interviewing on airport is undertaken in accordance with the Market Research Society's Code of Conduct
  • On occasion, our interviewers also undertake other work to produce important data:
  • Interviewing users of Gatwick's car parks, car rental and bus stations
  • Counting vehicles and recording their type and registration number.
  • Observing the frequency of courtesy buses to and from car parks.
  • Observation surveys: counts, timings & measurements.

Do you have what we're looking for?

  • Market Research experience is desirable.
  • Airport knowledge whilst not essential would be an advantage.
  • Must be able to read, understand and speak English fluently, the ability to speak other languages would be an asset.
  • Clear, legible handwriting is essential.
  • Experience of working autonomously and without supervision
  • Previous experience of working to KPIs and reliably delivering on target, in a busy customer facing environment
  • Able to go above and beyond to deliver great customer experience.
