This post will work to support the portfolio of the Acute Services Directorate.


Works to support the trust in the development and co-ordination of performance and business management systems and processes to ensure comprehensive service performance monitoring and development.

A key member supporting their directorate to produce effective performance reports to meet the needs of internal and external stakeholders.


  • Promote awareness of national and local targets.
  • Develop and deliver reporting mechanisms to support the trust objectives.
  • To analyse performance data and advise accordingly.
  • To establish relevant communication at all levels of service management to enable collection of robust data, and to ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Support the design, production and delivery of business reports to the Trust.
  • Undertake and support audits as requested.
  • Support the process of service development initiatives and Cost Improvement Programmes.

  • To produce performance and information to support robust Business Case development.
  • To work with Service Directors/Deputy Directors and General Managers to produce action plans to support the work of the Service Improvement processes.
  • To support Directorate's annual Business Planning and Care Quality Initiatives (CQUINs), ensuring that plans are comprehensive, agreed by the Director and submitted to the Assistant Director of Information and Performance within agreed timescales.
  • To support a comprehensive understanding of the Trusts, Directorate and service specific performance as measured against national, Trustwide and locally commissioned targets.
  • To promote and support access to performance data, which will influence service improvement plans.
  • To monitor, on a monthly basis, the routine collection of performance data, as agreed by the Directorate's senior leadership team.
  • To ensure that robust performance data and supporting information is available for regular performance monitoring meetings internally and externally.
  • To monitor performance activity on a monthly basis, highlighting variances and advising accordingly.
  • To complete performance reports and ad
- hoc audits when required.

  • To monitor the success of service improvements through performance management tools.
  • To provide clarity and develop relationships between different trust functions to include: Trust business management function, contracts, information and financial management.
  • To undertake projects and initiatives, which will support the delivery of the Key Performance Indicators. This will support service excellence and the provision of consistently high quality services.
  • To monitor contracts, agreements and the service specifications along with the performance management arrangements for each.
