Part time
Description

We're looking for an organised and enthusiastic part-time Admissions Officer to join the friendly team at our established Business English school in York city centre.

This will be a busy and interesting role with varied responsibilities, supporting the smooth running of the Business and Professional Skills division of the training centre.

You'll have overall responsibility for managing the admissions process for our clients, from enquiry to arrival and beyond, so you'll need to be a confident communicator, professional and with excellent attention to detail.

We're also looking for flexibility, a willingness to get involved and a "can-do" attitude

Experience in a similar role would be an advantage but not essential, but you will need to be sensitive to the needs of clients from other cultures.

You'll definitely have excellent computer skills and a confident telephone manner. You'll need to be a fluent communicator in English; a second language would be great, but it's not essential.

As our Admissions Officer, you will:

  • Ensure sales enquiries are responded to within agreed timescales, responding to straightforward questions and disseminating enquiries requiring a specialised response to the appropriate sales responsible.
  • Complete the administrative elements of the sales and enrolment process, including sending out booking confirmations, welcome packs and all necessary information to clients and agents prior to arrival in York.
  • Maintain accurate financial records, including promptly invoicing clients and agents, logging payments received and chasing debtors.
  • Complete general course administration including preparing new participant packs, certificates, report templates and compiling the weekly timetable.
  • Book hotel and apartment accommodation for delegates as required, liaising with hotels and apartment providers on rates, finalising commercial and corporate agreements with providers.
  • Manage all aspects of the administration of booking hotel and apartment accommodation, including confirming arrangements to participants and keeping records in participants file to ensure operational and financial accuracy.
