3.5 Tonne Van Driver


The Recruitment Crowd is currently recruiting Van Drivers for one of the largest heating and plumbing merchants in the UK.


Location:
Dundee


Job Type:
Temp/ad-hoc positions available.


Pay rate:
£10.72 p/h


Hours:

This is primarily ad-hoc bookings based on volume, ranging from a day, a few days or a couple of weeks at a time.

Operating hours are Monday to Friday 6am/7am - 5pm


The role:


  • Delivery and collection of HVAC products to clients and other sites.
  • Must be comfortable driving in the London area, as at some point this will be a required route.
  • This role could be fewer drops over more miles, or multi drops (around 15) in a shorter range.
  • A company van will be provided.

Requirements:


  • Must have a full UK driving license.
  • Must have van driving experience.
  • No more than 6 points on license

esponsibilities:

  • Safely operate a van to transport goods and materials to designated locations
  • Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of items
  • Follow delivery schedules and routes provided by the supervisor
  • Inspect and maintain the van's condition, reporting any mechanical issues promptly
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving
  • Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues regarding delivery details
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage and fuel consumptionRequirements:
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Proven experience as a van driver or in a similar role
  • Familiarity with warehouse operations and procedures
  • Ability to operate a flatbed or other commercial vehicles is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Basic mechanical knowledge for minor vehicle maintenanceNote: This job description is intended to provide a general overview of the position. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
