Global asset managers use Morningstar's strategic beta indexes, which are based on proprietary research, to create investment solutions to meet investor goals.


The Role:


The Indexes Client Implementation team seeks an enthusiastic, results-driven, experienced and entrepreneurial leader, who is passionate about providing world class client onboarding experience globally.

The team is responsible for being the client's single point of contact during the implementation engagement across all business lines, to ensure a smooth onboarding experience - from product launches, file deliveries to third party platforms access.

In this role, you will lead the client implementation function, roadmap, infrastructure and processes within the group. You will interact with clients, sales, marketing, product management, operations and technology teams.

A successful Indexes Client Implementation, Associate Director will have strong leadership and people skills, a data-driven approach to continuous process improvement, focus on operational excellence, experience leading teams and projects and ideas about expanding our delivery solutions and channels.

The role will report to the Head of Client Service & Implementation in Chicago.


Job responsibilities:


  • Work with the Head of Client Service & Implementation to lead the client implementation function and design a roadmap for the next generation client implementation experience and data distribution
  • Work crossfunctionally with various Morningstar teams (within Indexes and other Morningstar teams) to improve Indexes client implementation and product access
  • Own and improve client implementation processes across data, investable product and index services business lines
  • Review client implementation metrics on a weekly basis, and mentor the team to improve the quality of our onboarding experience and solutions
  • Initiate projects to improve processes, expand delivery solutions so as to build scale and quality into the client implementation experience
  • Own third party platforms relationships, so as to facilitate access to Morningstar Indexes on third party platforms
  • Be an escalation point for any internal and external client implementation issues
  • Understand the Indexes business, client profiles and how they use our product via various channels, anticipate their client service needs and proactively solve for them
  • Provide business requirements for expanding suite of index implementation solutions
  • Participate in and contribute to global projects to advance the growth of the Indexes business

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree
  • At least years of professional work experience, ideally in a clientfacing role within the finance industry

  • A leader who is also a team player
  • Strong interpersonal skills, and works well cross functionally and globally
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing
  • Enjoys problem solving and making improvements
  • Selfmotivated and willing to take ownership of new responsibilities
  • Interested in learning more about Indexes and passive investing

Nice to have:


  • Knowledge of Salesforce, Morningstar Direct and Morningstar Data a plus
  • Pursue CFA, not required but nice to have


This role will be based onsite in our London office and will follow our normal hybrid schedule of 3 days in office.

Morningstar's hybrid work environment gives you the opportunity to work remotely and collaborate in-person each week.
