Description
Company description
Red Balloons is a small Charity based on Teesside.
We use Peer Support to offer people a safe space to talk about their mental health alongside supporting them to use physical activity to improve their physical and mental wellbeing.
Job description
Red Balloons is a Voluntary and Community Sector Organisation. We support people to use physical activity to improve their mental and physical wellbeing.
Our Volunteers use lived experience of ill mental health, physical health conditions and difficult times to support members who attend our sessions.
This Peer Support is offered through 1-1 and Group Sessions including Walk and Talk, Run and Rant and Fitness Sessions.
Our Volunteers provide attendees with someone to talk to who is willing to listen and do their best to support.
Our Volunteers can also signpost people to further support should this be required. We believe strongly that all Volunteers should receive relevant training and be supported throughout their volunteering journey with Red Balloons.
We have been successful in securing funding from the National Lottery Community Fund to expand our Walk and Talk Project throughout the Tees Valley.
This Project is the foundation for all work the Charity does and this role will play a pivotal part in the expansion of the project and the Charity.
