Description

The Role


You will play a crucial part in providing a professional and effective generalist HR service to all areas of the business, including advice to first line and senior management on all employee relations issues.

You will have the opportunity to play a leading role in the management of disciplinary and grievance matters, as well as performance and absence management, ensuring that your expert support and guidance is consistently delivered across the business, in line with HR best practice, and company policies and procedures


Key responsibilities

  • Act as first point of contact for any HR related queries.
  • Support the recruitment process, including advertising, arranging interviews, coordinating the onboarding process.
  • To provide advice to ensure company compliance with employment law, company and industry standards.
  • Administration of HR records.
  • Arrange training.
  • Supporting with employee relations matters. grievances, disciplinaries, performance evaluations, etc.
  • Probationary reviews in a timely manner.
  • Maintain HR policies, procedures, manuals, folders, induction and training documentation, ensuring they are fit for purpose and support our commitment to equality and diversity.
  • Provide HR guidance, support and coaching to our Supervisors and Managers.
  • Previous HR administration experience is essential, preferably with in the utilities sector.
  • Indepth knowledge of employment law and best practices
  • The ability to work well under pressure and meeting deadlines.
  • An HR qualification or be working towards HR qualifications desirable.
  • The ability to take initiative and be a great problem solver.
  • Excellent communicationand attention to detail and accuracy.
Salary dependent on experience.

  • Chorley, PR7 6TE: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
