Atwood Primary School, Sanderstead are looking to recruit a hard-working and inspiring Year 5 Class teacher.

Atwood is a highly respected, over-subscribed, diverse, and thriving school. The school boasts an ambitious and vibrant learning community that places honesty, respect, and kindness at its core.


Atwood is an academy for
boys and girls aged 3 to 11 that forms part of the Pegasus Academy Trust.


The school is located in Sanderstead, which is a delightful village in the London Borough of Croydon. Once a farming community in previous centuries, Sanderstead is now essentially a dormitory village for commuters to central London andCroydon. Sanderstead station has trains to East Croydon and central London, and to East Grinstead and Uckfield.

Requirements:


  • PGCE certification
  • QTS or be an NQT
  • Applicants must satisfy all requirements to live and work in the UK
  • Must be able to demonstrate a proven track record of raising standards across to
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • An ability to promote effective teaching
  • Enthusiasm commitment and flexibility

Responsibilities:


  • Planning and teaching the KS2 curriculum to a high standard
  • Driving performance within the classroom
  • Ensuring targets are met and exceeded
  • Managing behaviour within the classroom
