Description
We are currently seeking a Benefits and Housing Needs Officer to join our team on a 6-month contract basis.


ey Responsibilities:
To assess clients' housing and benefit needs and provide appropriate advice and support.

To carry out casework, including negotiating with landlords, housing associations, and local authorities.


To provide guidance and support to clients in relation to housing and benefit issues, including housing benefit, council tax support, and discretionary housing payments.


To liaise with local authorities, housing associations, and other relevant agencies to ensure that clients receive the appropriate level of support.

To maintain accurate and up-to-date records of casework, including client information, action taken, and outcomes achieved


Key Requirements:


Experience of working in a similar role, providing advice and support to clients in relation to housing and benefit issues.

A good understanding of housing and benefit legislation and policy. - Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. - Good IT skills, including the use of Microsoft Office.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.


Job Types:
Full-time, Temp to perm

Contract length: 7 months

From £20.00 per hour
