We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Ward Clerk to join our Chemotherapy Day Service.

Our Day Units are at Dewsbury and Pontefract hospitals, this vacancy is at Dewsbury but the post-holder must be able and willing to work at both sites.

The role involves checking and booking patient appointments to ensure the schedule is correct according to the patient's treatment, preparing paper notes, checking and updating the clinical systems to ensure everything is in order before the patient arrives for their next treatment.

You will provide the patient with information about their future appointments before they leave the Day Unit and you will assist clinicians, patients and their family members/carers with enquiries over the telephone.

The post-holder must be confident, able to work autonomously and under pressure, approachable and professional at all times towards colleagues, patients and visitors, tidy and organised in the work area, and willing to support your team members at both Dewsbury and Pontefract.

The Day Units are open from 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday. This is a full time post - 37.5hrs per week.
