We are look to recruit at
Head of Project Management to join our Property Team.

As the Head of Project Management you will be responsible for the management of capital projects across the property portfolio of The Salvation Army, ensuring that all agreed financial, performance and missional objectives are met.


In addition, you will lead a team of professional property project managers collaborating extensively with internal customers and external supply chain.

Within this role you will support the development of business cases associated with new build projects and major refurbishments to time cost and quality measures, and oversee their successful delivery.


To be successful in this role you will have;

  • Extensive experience of successfully managing a capital projects programme, with a planning horizon of 23 years, across a large and diverse property portfolio
  • Extensive knowledge and experience of all relevant statutory, regulatory, construction contracts and compliance frameworks and requirements as they affect the management of capital projects
  • Proven strong people management skills with the ability to inspire employees and teams, support qualification pathways and CPD, and manage performance effectively
  • Proven strong financial management skills with previous experience of managing multiyear budgets and delivering financial reporting as required
  • The ability to think critically as a solution focussed individual, with a data based analytical approach to decision making, and demonstrable ability to impact and influence performance and outcomes
  • Demonstrable excellent communication skills with the proven ability to convey complex information to stakeholders
  • Proven excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to advise and influence at a senior level, and develop strong collaborative working relationships
  • Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, effective time management and the ability to prioritise work, and be able to respond to tight deadlines at a senior level
  • Strong IT skills
  • A full valid UK driving licence or equivalent
