Are you a Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children with additional needs? Have you worked as a Teaching assistant within a Special Educational Needs school or Autism base? We are looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant to work ona 1-2-1 and small group basis with children across Key Stages 2, 3 & 4 who have a primary diagnosis of Autism.

The school require a Teaching Assistant who has a good understanding of Autism, can build rapport quickly with children's of all abilities, and whocan effectively manage behaviours on a 1-2-1 basis.

As a Teaching Assistant at this school you will primarily be working on a 1-2-1 basis, supporting within the classroom.

Staff are friendly and you will receive an abundance of support from experienced Teaching Assistants and Teachers.

The school provides anurturing environment for children who have been diagnosed with a range of complex learning needs, so experience in this area is vital.

Ideally you will holed a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, however SEN experience is vital.

Job Role:

  • Supporting children with additional learning needs
  • Having a good understanding of a range of SEN policies and procedures
  • Working as a Classroom Assistant / Teaching Assistant
  • Taking part in whole school activities and making school fun, engaging and beneficial for pupils
  • Breaking down barriers to communication and making school a fun and safe place to be
