Teaching Assistant - Barnet
We are looking for a Teaching Assistant to join an amazing school located in the Barnet area. As a Teaching Assistant, you will be required to support pupils with SEND needs.

All classes have a max of 8 pupils so as a Teaching Assistant you will typicallywork 1:1 with each child to support their learning.

Whilst you do not need to have experience as a Teaching Assistant, you will have worked with children recently in some capacity and be able to demonstrate yiu have the knowledge required to be a great Teaching Assistant.

The School:

Students have a very diverse level and range of needs and their aim is to work together with all stakeholders to meet those needs and promote learning
OFSTED 'Good' rated school located in Barnet
Has a range of facilities, such as a 'Sensory Studio', a Library, a Life Skills Room, a Soft Play Cabin, a Multigym and a Hydrotherapy Pool
Provide a learning environment for all members of the school's community, where everyone can work and learn together
Provides a holistic environment for young people and their families, and work closely with a variety of health professionals to ensure the health and therapy needs are incorporated in their students' daily experience

The Role:

As a Teaching Assistant, you will be required tosupport pupils with SEND needs
Look after children's physical, social and emotional welfare
Prepare learning materials
Work with children in small groups and 1:1 when required to support their learning
Build a positive and meaningful bond with staff and students

Requirements:

Ideally have previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, though not essential
Patience and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations
Be confident in supporting children with SEN given the nature of the role
Available for an immediate start
Either live in Barnet or within a commutable distance
