The Breast Imaging Department is currently seeking a highly motivated, skilled, enthusiastic health care assistant to join our multidisciplinary team.


We would expect the successful applicant to demonstrate a patient centred approach and contribute to the efficient running of the imaging department, with the provision of a consistently high standard of patient care.

Previous experience of working in a healthcare environment or within the service industry is desirable.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a patient focused, technically advanced field and is an excellent opportunity to develop new skills and knowledge.

To assist with the running of the Breast imaging Service.

To assist Radiologists during interventional procedures

To assist Radiographers during Interventional Procedures

To prepare patients for their examinations

The Breast Imaging department is based at The Macmillan Cancer Centre,


The service has a comprehensive range of state-of-the-art equipment, including mammography Machines, MRI and CT scanners, digital Interventional Suites, digital X-ray rooms and ultrasound rooms.

The department is keen to facilitate continual professional development and all staff are actively supported in this area

The post holder will work as part of the departmental team under the direct supervision or Radiographers and radiologists and

  • Participates in the delivery of patient care.
  • Contributes towards department organisation.
  • Supports the Imaging team in the provision of a safe and caring environment
