A vacancy has arisen for a MSH Operative based at our Exeter site.


The purpose of the MSH Operative is to assist in the Daily Operational / Inspection / Cleaning aspects for the efficient running of the Plant.


Key accountabilities of the MSH Operative include:

  • To assist with the Implementation of continual improvements to ensure optimum production figures are maintained for all processes of the Plants at Long Marston
  • Maintain throughput and availability of production
  • Ensure the day to day running of the Plant in a safe and efficient manner
  • General Housekeeping of the Plant i.e. sweeping / shovelling etc.
  • Ensure that material produced meets the specifications required as directed by the Supervisor
  • Inform the Supervisor / Maintenance immediately when a breakdown occurs so that the issue can be addressed immediately to avoid downtime
  • Operational use of Mobile Plant duties when required
  • To assist with Banksman Duties when required
  • Comply with all Isolation Procedures throughout your shift as instructed in our Company Policy
  • Ensure the correct PPE is being worn
  • Perform such other duties as the Company may from time to time reasonably require
  • Comply with all Company policies related to Code of Conduct, Environmental, Health and Safety and Community
Applicants should have a Loading Shovel Licence, 360 Grab Licence and a Forklift truck Licence. Previous experience of working within medium or heavy industry and within waste or metals recycling sector is desirable. Exceptional organisations skills and high level of attention to detail is required.
