Description

Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout and dimensions of the joinery work
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials such as wood, laminate, and metal to construct or repair fixtures, furniture, cabinets, and other wooden structures
• Install hardware such as hinges, handles, locks, and drawer slides
• Sand and finish surfaces to ensure a smooth and polished appearance
• Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy
• Collaborate with other tradespeople and contractors to ensure timely completion of projects
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a joiner or carpenter
• Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery
• Strong knowledge of different types of wood and their characteristics
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
• Attention to detail and precision in measurements and cutting
• Excellent problemsolving skills
• Physical stamina to perform manual labor for extended periods of time
• Good communication skills to collaborate with team members

Salary:
£10.80-£12.50 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
