COMPLIANCE ASSISTANT - ADULT CARE PROVIDER

Salary:
£40k per annum, depending on experience


Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday with some flexibility required depending on the needs of the business.

Multiple site working - driver essential.

We are seeking a Compliance Assistant to support the Quality Assurance & Compliance Manager to ensure that all activities are carried out in compliance with the company standards for health, safety, hospitality, environment and quality.

Working across multiple locations in Surrey and Greater London your responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying out provider visits in line with an agreed programme, observing and reporting on compliance, staff practice, health & safety and the well-being of people using the service, identifying areas of non-compliance and best practice.
  • Produce action plans in line with audit and review findings, supporting companywide continuous improvement
  • Taking responsibility for monitoring and progressing actions following Provider Visits or external quality visits
  • Support Managers with local authority, CQC, quality monitoring visits and KPI returns as directed
  • Ensure that services understand and adhere to all regulatory frameworks and policies.
  • Ensure the most up to date policy and associated documents are accessible and used appropriately in practice
  • Monitor use of and compliance with implemented software such as Nourish, Birdie, Deputy and support with the implementation of new systems
  • To coordinate learning and development needs for care and support staff in conjunction with the training coordinator
  • Undertake and support quality improvement workshops as required
  • Take responsibility for department projects as agreed with the Quality Assurance and Compliance Manager
  • Preparing reports in relation to specific projects or service development needs
  • Record, analyse and report findings from audits and quality reviews
  • To report safeguarding or serious non compliance and risk issues to the Quality Assurance and Compliance Manager immediately
  • Providing management cover to services (Care Home and Domiciliary Care Services) as required.
Essential Requirements

  • NVQ/QCF Level 3 or equivalent
  • Relevant training qualification
  • Must have own transport and a clean, full driving licence.
  • Experience of working within health and social care
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work to deadlines
