We have a great opportunity for an experienced
Talent Acquisition Business Partner to join our Talent Acquisition team at Sovereign, on a
Fixed term basis for 12 months.

We're going through an exciting period of change and transformation at Sovereign, with our corporate plan setting out some ambitious goals for the business.

You'll be working at the forefront of attracting and securing diverse talent to support in achieving these goals.


Based from our head office in Basingstoke, you'll combine a mix of home and office working to ensure a positive work / life balance.


The Role


Reporting to our Head of Talent Acquisition and Employee Experience, you'll work closely alongside our current Talent Acquisition Business Partners and wider team to support in driving the Talent Acquisition agenda for Sovereign.

This role plays a key part in the Business Partnering service for Talent Acquisition, working alongside the business to deliver end to end resourcing solutions.

We have ambitious targets and are on our way to creating a true centre of excellence for Talent Acquisition.


Responsibilities include:

  • Delivering end to end recruitment solutions across varied business areas, managing attraction utilising direct methods, social media channels as well as through preferred suppliers
  • Developing strong partnerships with hiring managers and business leaders, instilling trust and promoting the TA team
  • Working closely with the business and HR Business Partners to gain a clear understanding of the overarching business strategy and deliverables for different business areas and how these impacts on resourcing/headcount plans
  • Using meaningful MI to analyse performance and trends which informs recommendations for process improvement activity
  • Supporting in continuing to build advertising strategies and our EVP to promote Sovereign as an employer of choice
  • Undertaking project work to support the Talent Acquisition strategy and wider People plans, such as providing expertise in continuous improvement on assessment and selection methods

What we need from you:

A background in Housing, Customer or Trades / Property services would be beneficial.

To be successful in this role you'll:

  • Have proven knowledge and experience across all areas of the recruitment lifecycle
  • Be adept at identifying opportunities and smarter ways of attracting and supporting diverse talent into the business
  • Have strong experience across a variety of social media channels such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and Glassdoor
  • Hold experience of developing and maintaining relationships with 3rd party suppliers ensuring quality and value for money
  • Have the ability to effectively prioritise your workload, taking an agile approach and adapting readily to change
  • Knowledge of relevant employment legislation, including IR3
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written, including experience drafting engaging, professional content for job adverts or social media
