Learning Support Assistant

Learning Support Assistant required at various primary schools in and around Whittlesey, Cambridgeshire - September start - £90/£95 per day based on experience.
Are you a Teaching Assistant with previous experience working with pupils who have Special Needs? Are you currently seeking a new position that you can start immediately? Do you have a keen interest in supporting a child with Autism and making a positive impact on their life?


Tradewind are currently working with various primary schools in and around Whittlesey, Cambridgeshire, who are seeking experienced Learning Support Assistants to join their schools on a long term basis.


Learning Support Assistant (LSA) - Cambridge

Experience working with students who have autism and other educational needs required

Long term role starting September Potential to become a permanent post

Salary based on skills and experience between £90/£95 per day


As a Learning Support Assistant, you will be responsible for implementing a personalised learning plan tailored to meet the specific educational and behavioural requirements of the pupil you will be supporting.

It is essential that you possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish strong relationships with both students and teachers.


The key requirements for this role are:

  • Previous experience in working with children who have special educational needs (SEN), particularly autism, in a one-to-one setting
  • Knowledge of behaviour management strategies and the ability to implement them effectively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with children and teachers
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to build positive relationships with students with autism
