Our client is looking for an experienced Tenancy Management Officer.

The Tenancy Officer - Targeted Tenant Services will be a skilled practitioner in the provision of

holistic and person-centred tenancy management services across the borough. The Targeted


Tenant Service will offer:
- a borough-wide duty and emergency tenancy management and casework function,

delivering more complex 'on-the-day' tenancy services where necessary
- a Locality-based casework and appointment system to manage non-emergency service

requests from tenants, enabling them to maintain their tenancies and thrive. This will

include management of lower-level antisocial behaviour, oversight of legal work and

other service requests related to the Conditions of Tenancy
- a range of proactive interventions to identify and address resident needs at an earlier

stage - including targeted visits to those at risk of poor outcomes
- oversight and management of tenant-related work associated with voids and new

lettings
- appropriate escalation / de-escalation of cases and seamless handovers within the wider

Tenancy Services structure

Post-holders will be based in one of four teams offering the services described above:

  • 3 Locality-based teams (North, Central, South)
  • 1 boroughwide 'ontheday' duty team
Experience of providing advice or assistance to the public in a customer-facing role, ideally within a housing or support setting

2 Excellent customer service skills, with a strong commitment to empowering people to solve their problems, thrive and live well

3 An understanding of the issues facing people who have experienced isadvantages including poor health, unemployment and trauma, and an understanding of how these disadvantages combine to create social exclusion

4 An understanding of housing and other relevant policy and legislation, including
housing supply and demand issues and welfare reform

5 An understanding of the network of statutory and non-statutory social and community services and how these may be utilised to support and empower vulnerable people

6 Comfortable with the use of computers and IT in particular Microsoft Office 365 packages, databases and spreadsheets

7 Great written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships, networks and achieve results through collaboration
