Description
Bedfordshire Talking Therapies

Apprentice Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (PWP)

Band: 4

WTE: 1.0 wte

The Apprentice PWP position includes undertaking a Certificate in Higher Education in Low Intensity CBT.

This position would be great for those without a degree looking to start a career in Talking Therapies or for those looking for a change of career to work within mental health.

The Apprenticeship equips you with the skills to assess for and treat depression and anxiety disorders with low intensity CBT within a Talking Therapies service.

You will work within a very supportive step 2 team that works within a wider service of CBT and Relational Therapists.

It is important to note that the Apprenticeship follows the Trainee PWP course, however there are differences in how the apprenticeship runs and there are different assessments involved.

Following the successful completion of the academic award, PWP Apprentices undertake an End Point Assessment (EPA) administered by the BPS.

The Apprentice PWP will attend University two days a week and work in service three days a week.

Attendance at all UEA teaching days is compulsory and annual leave cannot be booked for UEA teaching days.

Attendance is monitored and to ensure adequate development of competency trainees must ensure that their attendance does not fall below a set minimum (80%).

This is an opportunity to join our team and contribute to developing an effective and innovative service provision.
