Senior Study Coordinator to join our Safety Assessment toxicology team at our site in
Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire.

The Senior Study Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the activities of routine and non-routine toxicology studies, in compliance with the appropriate company standards, Home Office requirements and regulatory guidelines, in a timely, efficient manner.


This role offers flexible working with the possibility of remote working 2/3 days per week and is an excellent option for those that already have experience in a similar role or within the pre-clinical toxicology arena looking for progression.


The Senior Study Coordinator:


  • Takes ownership of and provides administrative and scientific support for toxicology studies, including prestudy tasks (e.g., protocol development, scheduling), monitoring the inlife progress of assigned studies and interacting with clients
  • Is familiar with standard operating procedures, capabilities, and regulatory guidelines. Serves as a team resource for questions related to these topics
  • Provides leadership to study teams and successfully manages difficult projects
  • May lead client or internal discussions, with input from Study Director, related to study design changes and study issues
  • Serves as a contact, along with the Study Director, in communication and interactions with other departments and clients, with assistance as applicable
  • Monitors progress and status of assigned studies
  • Begins to focus career development goals towards an area of specialization in toxicology. May begin or continue to develop supervisory skills, Study Direction skills or Project Managements skills
  • Assists with the development of team policies, procedures and training manuals
  • Trains and mentors other Study Coordinators

Education / Qualifications:


  • BSc, preferably Life Science degree. Experience may be substituted for education

Skills / Experience:


  • Significant demonstrable experience in Toxicology or Study Coordination paired with client facing experience
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail and consistent accuracy whilst managing multiple changing priorities
  • Knowledge of GLPs, regulatory agency guidelines and Home Office requirements
  • Resilient and change adaptable
