All colleagues will be expected to spend at least two days each week working in the office and should expect to come together more than this on a regular basis, as needed, on any given week, this will be driven by role, business priorities, workload requirements, or to enable us to work more effectively together.

You will be responsible for

  • Manage the process for Supplier approval ensuring Stakeholders follow the Contracts and Procurement Process. Provide support as required and ensure all documentation is correct and ready for sign off by Senior Procurement Manager
  • Deliver robust and innovate solutions, using own initiative and/or working with colleagues across the business
  • Effective Stakeholder Management
  • Challenge the status quo to support the business in efficiencies and cost benefit. Provide business case if necessary or presentations for approval
  • Supplier negotiation
  • Seeking and optimising opportunities that contribute to company P&L and meet personal and department savings target
  • Assist in preparation of documentation for tenders and benchmarking activity, and coordinate formal responses to suppliers during the process, for own projects or as required for Stakeholders
  • Ensure the effective management and control of a central contracts database for GSNFR suppliers, ensuring up to date and accessible to the business.
  • Responsible for approving all GSNFR product costs to allow input onto the system and purchase order raising by departments
  • Provide information on a monthly basis of suppliers whose contracts are up for renewal initiate and assist in the engagement of planning for these reviews
  • Data analysis and department reporting, including the management of departmental savings and Stakeholder sign off
  • Analyse supplier spend and update central database
  • Manage the Vendor Appraisal process both internally and with the supply base, highlighting any business risk or value added opportunities to the Senior Procurement Manager
  • End to end responsibility for the supply of consumables to stores
  • Support to Senior Procurement Manager
  • I manage & conduct work activities in such a way as to ensure the safety, health & welfare at work of all colleagues & customers
You will need

  • Confident communicator and one who is not afraid to challenge

  • Strategic thinker, ability to identify, execute & deliver
  • Strong and proficient user of Excel, Word and Power Point
  • Effective Risk Management and Project Management capability
  • Results driven with excellent Project Management and organising skills
  • Ability to engage and multitask in a variety of job functions simultaneously
  • CIPS qualifications min LEVEL
  • Experience in dealing with suppliers, cross function working and Stakeholder Management
  • Experience in Purchasing and Procurement led roles
