The Role


In this new role as the Install and Splicing Co-ordinator, you will work as part of the Operations Team to assist with the scheduling of customer installs and problem solving in the network to bring properties and projects Ready For Service (RFS) and enable installs.


Based in the Civils Yard, you will work closely with the Customer Onboarding Co-ordinator and the Splicing Co-ordinator communicating a schedule of resource availability for Garden and Install teams.

You will also work with the Splicing Co-ordinator to schedule splicers, solve faults and fibre breaks that occur daily in the network in order to maximise customers installed per month.


You will be responsible for pulling in the required people within Construction to plan and facilitate the survey of complex installs and follow up to rectify failed installs as required providing splicing resource to enable as required.

For complex installations requiring resource from other areas of Construction, you will have authority to escalate to senior management where required, in order to meet customer and Customer On Boarding Team expectations.

This role ensures our customers have an outstanding onboarding experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain the forward looking resource plan for the Splicers, Garden work Teams and Install Engineers
  • Manage and adjust service appointments on a daily basis, working with engineers to ensure status are always correct and there is the required detail associated with failed tasks.
  • Liaise with Customer Onboarding Team to facilitate and schedule garden work and installations off the back of booked customer appointments.
  • Allocate tasks via FSL/Salesforce to the Teams and Operatives to ensure maximum efficiency and number of installs per month
  • Work closely with the Construction Coordinators to ensure all pre work and splicing required for any customer appointment is fully understood, conveyed to the engineer on site and detail reported back in full.
  • Maintain contact with the Splicers and Installs Teams throughout the day as required, ensuring any faults and failed installs are rescheduled and rectification plan plus new timings are clearly communicated back to the Customer Onboarding Team.
  • Liaise with Construction Managers to facilitate additional resource if direct resource in Garden Teams is not available to complete a task, or in order to maintain required resourcing level for set appointment availability levels.
  • Be the 'customer' point of contact within the Construction Team for information from other Departments in the business (Commercial, Network Operations, PMO and Design) and provide detailed updates on the progress of installs.
  • Pick up admin requirements of the Construction Operations function.

Requirements:


  • Previous experience of scheduling and fibre installations required.
  • Indepth knowledge of Wessex Internet Infrastructure delivery methods.
  • Full working knowledge of Field Service Lightning (FSL), Render and Salesforce.
  • Excellent organisational and problemsolving skills.
  • Strong verbal communication skills as you will be required to speak to customers and a range of people across the business to schedule fibre fault solutions, groundworks and installs.
  • Ability to communicate and report effectively.
  • Confident making key decisions under pressure and knowing when to elevate to the Operations Manager.
