GSL Education are looking to employ a number of Cover

Supervisors to work across our client Primary schools based in

Scarborough, starting

ASAP.

Teaching Assistant looking for a new, challenging and rewarding position, GSL Education would like to hear from you.

As a Cover Supervisor your main responsibilities will be to:

Supervise classes across the curriculum in the event of a teacher's absence.
Ensure that pupils are engaging in preplanned work.
Manage pupil behaviour to create a safe and positive learning environment.
Liaise with other staff members in regard to work being set and ensure you have all suitable resources.
Provide feedback to the class teacher on pupil attendance, engagement and completion of work tasks.

To be a successful Cover Supervisor you should:

Hold an NVQ Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or higher or be a Graduate considering a career in education.
Have knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies (training can be provided).
Have the ability and willingness to undertake additional training and courses to enhance your
Professional development.
Empathies with young people and have good interpersonal and communication skills.
Have the ability to use your own initiative to work flexibly and be able to respond to different situations.
Must have a DBS on the update service or be willing to pay for a new one through GSL Education.
