Description
The client is a global distribution, manufacturing and production company that are based in the West End (Paddington).

They are looking for an experienced Management Accountant (with experience working in a similar role within Germany) to join the team ona permanent basis to help with the recent expansion of the business and the building and improvement of finance procedures.

Description

The successful Management Accountant will:

  • Oversight of the general ledger / German and UK GAAP
  • Monthly balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, prepayments and journals
  • Intercompany reconciliations
  • Monthend reporting and production of the monthly packs and budget processes
  • Assist with Audit requests
  • German VAT and EU VAT
  • Tax compliance
  • Coordination with our tax experts in our countries of operation
  • Inventory reconciliation
  • COGS analysis
  • Gross Margin analysis by customer
  • Weekly cash flow reports
  • Review and Submission of payments run
  • Ensure all customers are invoiced in due time
  • Cash collection
  • Review of A/P invoices booked in the system (GL, coding, analytics etc)
  • Validation of raised POs (fixed assets, from an accounting perspective)
  • Fixed asset management (FA register, capitalization, depreciation etc.)

Profile

The successful Management Accountant will:

  • Have previous experience doing a similar role in a company in Germany
  • Speak strong or fluent German (highly desirable)
  • Part qualified with experience, strong management, and financial accounting knowledge
  • High attention to detail
  • Highly proficient at monthly management accounts preparation and financial analysis
  • Experienced in dealing with tax and VAT queries in Germany


  • Confident IT user

  • Strong Excel skills
  • Experience in a SME and international business (desirable not essential)
  • Experience in a retail, manufacturing, automotive, pharmaceutical or FMCG business (desirable, not essential)
  • Experience with Microsoft Business Central Dynamics (desirable, not essential)

Job Offer
- £45,000 - £50,000
