Sustainability Project Officer (Retrofit)
Permanent Job role
Full-Time 35 hours per week
Salary:
£33,505 - £37,031 per annum
Location:
Hybrid - Based in London, Liverpool, Carlisle (or another Riverside office)
Monday to Friday (open to flexible working arrangements)

In this role you will s upport the delivery, reporting and evaluation of energy efficiency and retrofit projects to ensure successful outcomes and that all funding is drawn down.
Continuously monitor retrofit programmes and use evaluation and lessons learnt to improve processes, outputs, contractor selection and management and minimize defects, also you will Maintain the retrofit risk register by drawing in project information, anticipating changes and assigning risk levels.

Role Profile
Support the delivery, reporting and evaluation of energy efficiency and retrofit projects to ensure successful outcomes and that all funding is drawn down.
Continuously monitor retrofit programmes and use evaluation and lessons learnt to improve processes, outputs, contractor selection and management and minimize defects.
Role requires you to:
- Ensure that all internal and external reporting on retrofit project progress and outputs required for governance and funding is collated and delivered in line with the programme.
- Maintain the retrofit risk register by drawing in project information, anticipating changes and assigning risk levels.
- Collaborate with the Retrofit Coordinators and lead on the evaluation of retrofit projects in line with PAS2035 requirements and project review methodologies including:
- Post construction review
- Analysis of internal conditions including temperature, relative humidity, CO2, moisture levels
- Energy consumption
- Air tightness
- Programme review
- Gather and interpret qualitative project feedback
- Investigate defects
- Manage consultants in the delivery of Post Occupancy Evaluation and Building Performance Evaluation where additional external support is required.
- Support the Sustainability Manager in delivering the Group's Climate Responsibility Strategy where required.
- Contribute to the development, review and effective use of decarbonisation policies and procedures, and their continuous improvement, identifying areas where amendments are required as a result of legislative changes, policy updates or customer and stakeholder needs.
- Provide guidance that supports the above by delivering briefings on programme progress; identifying risks, implications and opportunities that this presents.
- Ensure internal business processes are followed in line with the Group's policy, procedures and statutory requirements.
- Respond flexibly to any necessary changes in work priorities and undertake other duties when required to support the effective operation of the service.
- Ensure that all data protection requirements are met in accordance with the Group's policy, procedures and statutory requirements.

Person specification
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Essential
- A relevant academic qualification
- Working knowledge of retrofit and energy efficiency in housing.
- Experience of reviewing projects and using lessons learnt to improve processes.
- Understanding of Building Performance Evaluation.
- Ability to interpret building performance data.
- Experience in providing high quality reports to key stakeholders.
- Personal and professional interest in improving the energy efficiency of the UK housing stock
