The Charity
There has never been a more exciting time to join the HEY Smile Foundation team.

Our work spans across the Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise Sector (VCSE), as well as connecting opportunities with the private and public sector.

Smile empowers VCSE organisations to develop solutions that improve their communities by giving them access to knowledge, inspiration, assets and resources.

In the past 15years we have grown significantly but have maintained a personalised and hands on approach to ensure we address the community's needs, empowering organisations, and charity people to surpass expectations, maximising community potential.

During the pandemic, and in the early stages of recovery we were able to maximise our resources for our communities across Humber, Coast and Vale, where we are seen as a Go to Charity.

Nationally we are gaining great exposure, working within the NHS and leading on national test and learn projects for organisations such as NHS England, DEFRA, Natural England, Public Health England and the National Academy of Social Prescribing.

Smile is built on outstanding leadership.

We are proud to say we have one of the strongest charitable boards in the region, who work with a team of highly skilled and proactive charity leaders, who are generous in their leadership and keen to support others thrive at Smile.

As our work grows, we are keen to add to our leadership team in our NHS Charities work where we look to aid our NHS professionals to maximise charitable funding to enhance the patient experience.

We have been proud to lead local and national NHS Charities, in the last two years ensuring funding from Sir Captain Tom Moore's efforts were spent wisely in our region.

We now seek an ambitious Charity Coordinator who can demonstrate previous fundraising success, to join our Smile Health Team.

You will be someone who finds it easy to build relationships, has an eye for detail and is comfortable with project management.

Health Stars is the Charity for the Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust.

HEY Smile employs a team to deliver the good intentions of the staff, patients and relatives who work, and benefit from the services of the Trust.

This post of Charity Coordinator is specifically focused on the delivery of enhancements within the

NHS at Humber NHS Teaching Foundation Trust, however the postholder will be part of the wider

Smile team benefiting from Smile's experience, sector knowledge and contacts in support of their

NHS work.

The Role

Charity Coordinator, Health Stars - Helping to make charitable giving an NHS Priority at Humber

Teaching NHS Foundation Trust (HTFT).

We are delighted to announce a unique opportunity for a passionate communicator with strong administration skills to aid the development of the charity's grant giving, and support donor development.

The role would suit an experienced people person who is enthusiastic about local health care and is fully supportive of NHS philosophies.

You will be the first point of call for those who have had a great experience of the NHS and want to give something back, and equally for NHS professionals who want to maximise donations to improve services and environments.

Collectively the Health Stars team directed by Smile have the honour and duty of care to manage and distribute charitable funds donated to the vast range of services HTFT delivers in communities across, Hull, East Yorkshire and North Yorkshire with the support of the HTFT leadership and clinical teams.

We are also challenged to find, maximise existing and develop innovative sources of income to deliver funding into areas of the Trust to enhance the patient, career and staff experience.

So, if you're looking for a new challenge, a role in which you can develop and train within a leading team of charity and NHS professionals, then we want to hear from you.
