Main Duties/Responsibilities
As a HCA, your duties could include:
- Taking and recording observations
- Small wound management
- Daily patient care and mobilisation
- Direct patient supervision
- Working with patient care plans
- Making beds and helping other healthcare staff where needed
- Sterilising equipment, restocking consulting rooms, trolleys, and stations
- Carrying out health checks, taking blood samples and processing lab samples
Essential Criteria
- You will have a minimum of 6 months experience in a healthcare setting providing patient care
- You will need to pass an enhanced background check
- You will need to pass a Medacs Healthcare interview
- You will be required to provide evidence of immunisation history
- You will need to provide references from a clinical setting covering the last 3 years
Desirable Experience
- Previous NHS experience
- Care qualification (NVQ level 2 and 3)
- Phlebotomy skills
- Cannulation experience
- IV training
