We are seeking an experienced, passionate and highly qualified English Teacher to lead an English department at our Outstanding graded school in the Ward of Perry Barr.

This is a permanent and full-time position, starting September 2023, with scope for progressioninto an Assistant Head Teacher role in the future.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Lead and manage the English department, setting and achieving high standards of teaching and learning.
  • Develop and implement a challenging and engaging English curriculum.
  • Mentor and support the English team, including providing professional development opportunities.
  • Monitor and evaluate the progress and attainment of students, using data to inform teaching and learning.
  • Contribute to the wider life and development of the school, including participating in schoolwide initiatives and events.
