Position:
HGV Driver Mentor Location: Midlothian and Edinburgh

Salary:
£15 per hour

Average Annual Pay:
£42,900 (based on a 50-hour week)

Role Responsibilities:

As an HGV Driver Mentor, you will play a pivotal role in nurturing and guiding academy drivers through their training, empowering them to succeed in their driving roles at The NWH Group.

Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive and hands-on training sessions with academy drivers, emphasising safe driving practices and protocols.

Demonstrating compassion and care to mentor and motivate trainees, fostering a supportive and encouraging learning environment.

Providing constructive feedback and personalised coaching to drivers, assisting them in overcoming challenges and honing their skills.

Championing a safety-first culture, ensuring all drivers are well-versed in compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Requirements:
To thrive in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and attributes:
Valid HGV license with substantial experience in driving a variety of vehicles, including Skip trucks, Hooks, and Tippers.

Demonstrable passion for coaching and nurturing talent, with a genuine desire to see trainees succeed in their careers.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering a positive and empathetic mentoring approach.

A patient and supportive demeanour, capable of adapting teaching techniques to suit individual learning styles.

Commitment to personal growth and continuous improvement in both your own skills and the development of others.
