Recruiting, training, supporting, and managing our volunteers across the UK.

Beneficiaries (our families), healthcare professionals, other charities and community groups, funders, other supporters including local companies, organizations, grant-making trusts and foundations

Key Objectives:
To help ensure that Peeps' volunteers are fully engaged, trained, and always supported.
The majority of this will be via remote working, and by (but not restricted to):
- designing, delivering, and evaluating volunteer recruitment plans
- onboarding all volunteers, sharing Peeps' vision and values, and welcoming them to the team
- ensuring all training requirements are met
- manage DBS checks where required (depending on volunteer role)
- holding regular "check-ins" with volunteers and arranging supervision sessions
- supporting projects that may involve volunteers (peer support, Peeps Together events, fundraising activities)
- To help represent the Charity in various public contexts and to develop and maintain relationships with key external partners, agencies and the media.
- To help facilitate the continued expansion and development of the Charity's services through supporting and developing effective partnership working and increasing current and other potential income streams.
- To support the Charity Manager in the running of Peeps according to priorities determined by the Trustees.

- You have previous experience of managing volunteers in a charity / nonforprofit setting (this is essential as this is a brandnew role for Peeps).
- You're confident to speak to new people and explore new ways of doing things.
- You're extremely organized and able to manage your own workload.
- You enjoy looking at alternative ways of doing things, coming up with ideas, and resolving problems in the best way possible
- You're happy to get involved in social media whether an interest in Instagram, or a Facebook fanatic, we'd love you to spread the word online
The important bit (hours and money)_
- 12month contract the aim is that the position will continue beyond 12 months if funding allows.
- 35 hours per week (with the option of parttime if preferred, minimum of 16 hours) how you fit them in is largely up to you (working around some core hours). Evening / weekend work will be required at times to fit in around the volunteer training and support.
- We appreciate that life is busy, you may have childcare needs, carer responsibilities, or crave a worklife balance if you're the right person, we want to make it work so are flexible on the hours.
- Work from home this is a work from home position, and a laptop and phone will be provided
- Due to the location of the Charity Manager, and the work involved, you must be able to travel within the Saddleworth area at least once a fortnight (1 day a month working with the Charity Manager and 1 day for team meetings).

Part-time hours: 35 per week
Salary:
£22,000.00-£26,000.00 per year
