About the role
We've amazing opportunities to join us as a Technical Support Advisor to support us in maximising the team's contribution towards the effective operation and maintenance of the sewerage network, by ensuring excellent customer service is provided.
The role will require you to carry out comprehensive sewer investigations to identify the root cause and resolve using the appropriate resource either contractor, direct labour and promote potential solutions through business.
You'll be ensuring pollution investigations are thoroughly carried out to identify the root cause and resolve using the appropriate resource to minimise the impact on the environment, along with ensuring flooding investigations are thoroughly carried out to identify the root cause and resolve using the appropriate resource to minimise repeat sewer flooding.
We're looking for you to ensure any investment projects are completed in accordance with company standard and highlight potential investment projects or plans to meet future demands on assets or resolve identified shortfalls.
You'll also stand in for the team leader in meetings, producing reports, leading the team, along with providing technical expertise and support for Technical Support Advisor (2).
You'll also be assisting in ensuring that Quality Environmental Management System records and accreditation is maintained and represent the department at key stakeholder meetings with the EA, Local Authorities and contractors.
About you
You'll have proven experience of being a strong team player involving and supporting others in problem solving and decision-making processes, along with effective relationship management and networking ability (across all areas of a business and with external stakeholders).
We're looking for you to excellent proven good communication and interpersonal skills, along with excellent literacy and numeracy and problem-solving skills and be innovative, look for and highlight potential improvements of ways of working.
You'll also have a qualification (maybe to HNC/Degree level) in a science, engineering / construction, or environmental related discipline or NVQ L3 or equivalent but with proven work experience.
