An exciting opportunity has arisen for an International Recruitment Lead to continue our successful international recruitment Programme.


The post holder will provide advice and guidance on the full range of issues relating to the recruitment and retention of international staff to address the Trust's short and medium term international recruitment commitments and objectives.


Reporting to the Recruitment Services & HR Project lead and leading a team, the postholder will ensure our international recruits have their legal and pastoral needs met from recruitment to induction, and beyond.

Lead, coordinate and manage the Trust's non-medical international recruitment activity.

Provide pastoral and practical support to international recruited nurses and AHP's ensuring they are welcomed to the Trust and are able to quickly settle into living and working in Cambridgeshire & Peterborough.


Working with our agencies and our Digital Recruitment specialist, design and deliver a marketing plan and documentation for international recruitment for CPFT.


In collaboration with Nursing, AHP's & Quality and the Learning and Development teams, oversee the production and delivery of robust international recruitment plans and facilitate the development of international nurses in the Trust.

  • Plan, coordinate and project manage the Trust's non-medical international recruitment activity.
  • Track progress against plans and milestones, ensuring appropriate processes are in place to flag risks and issues and to propose amendments as needed to ensure the success of the project
  • Devise, develop and implement appropriate information sharing systems with internal services and external bodies related to international recruitment.
  • Monitor international recruitment related expenditure ensuring that the project is delivered within the budget.
  • Scope opportunities to access external funding related to international recruitment and prepare bids for funding where appropriate.
  • Prepare business cases for formal committees and meetings to secure funding and investment where needed.
  • Act as an authorised signatory for relevant international recruitment related expenditure.
  • Present progress updates to relevant meetings and formal committees.
  • Develop processes and information reporting systems to gather the data and evidence required to provide an ongoing evaluation of the impact of the international recruitment project within the Trust.
  • This will include the ability to identify areas of good practice (and mechanisms for sharing these), identify areas of concern and propose and develop action to address these, and learning that can be applied for the future.
  • Lead the development of an ongoing strategy related to international recruitment which may include other professional groups.
  • Represent the Trust at regional and national meetings related to international recruitment, sharing good practice and learning.
