Description

The department undertakes a wide range of general diagnostic and therapy procedures on both inpatients and outpatients including cardiac, paediatric, and oncology specialties.


There has never been a better time to join our team, as the department is moving to a new building with new equipment as well as purpose built patient facilities.

As a band 3 you will be required to provide support to the multi-professional team. This job requires skilled abilities and flexible work practice.


The Trust provides treatment to over three quarters of a million patients each year working across sites in Brighton and Haywards Heath.

The Trust's specialised and tertiary services include arterial vascular surgery, neonatal, paediatrics, cardiac, cancer, renal, infectious diseases and HIV medicine.

To provide support to the multi-disciplinary team and contribute towards the smooth and efficient running of the department.

After appropriate training to assist with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in the Nuclear Medicine department.

Dedicated stress assistant for Myocardial Perfusion Study.

Pre and post procedure care for patients undergoing PET-CT scans.

To contribute towards an effective caring and welcoming Nuclear Medicine
patient service.

Main


Responsibilities:


  • Dedicated stress assistant for Cardiac Myocardial Perfusion Studies.
  • Assist with care of patients undergoing PET-CT scans.
  • To assist with control of stock.
  • Provide advice & support to patients.
  • Prepare and tidy rooms.
  • Undertake venepuncture, monitoring and ECGs.
  • To undertake relevant radiation training including radiation safety, contingency plans, monitoring, contamination plans and other requirements as per the Ionizing Radiation Regulations.
