Teaching Assistant for September

Responsibilities:

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other professionals to provide personalized support to students with additional learning needs.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Collaborating with teachers to implement individual education plans (IEPs) for students.
Providing oneonone or small group support to students with learning difficulties or disabilities.
Assisting with the adaptation of curriculum materials to meet the specific needs of students.
Supporting students in accessing classroom instruction and resources.
Monitoring and tracking student progress, and reporting to teachers and relevant staff members.
Assisting with the implementation of behaviour management strategies and promoting a positive learning environment.
Encouraging student engagement and participation in classroom activities.
Assisting with the preparation and organization of teaching materials and resources.
Liaising with parents, guardians, and other professionals involved in the student's support network.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and qualities:

A genuine passion for supporting young learners' educational development.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, empathy, and the ability to build positive relationships with students.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
The ability to adapt to the diverse learning needs of students.
Basic knowledge of educational practices and strategies for supporting students with additional needs.
Experience working with primary school students in an educational or support capacity. (desirable)
