Head Housekeeper
As a busy city centre hotel we are looking for an enthusiastic head housekeeper to join our team.


Your role:

  • To greet and to anticipate any guest's needs, follow up and ensure that the guests' expectations are met and where possible exceeded.
  • Provide day to day direction and support to the Housekeeping team.
  • Ensure that a great working relationship is maintained with our guests and other departments within the building.
  • Hold monthly/weekly team meetings, in cooperation with the manager, and daily handovers with the team to ensure that all relevant information is cascaded.
  • To liaise and communicate with other team members and other service departments in a clear and timely manner to ensure service delivery and teamwork.
  • Follow guests and department safety and security policies and procedures to maintain a clean, safe, and secure environment.
  • Ensure that all staff Health & Safety training is completed and updated.
  • To ensure that all cleaning and laundry consumables are ordered from current nominated suppliers in line with Company purchasing policy.
  • To organise deep cleaning duties when required.
  • To be involved in daytoday housekeeping duties: (changing bed linen and making bed, replacing used towels and other bathroom amenities, such as shampoo and soap, sweeping and mopping floors, vacuuming carpets, dusting and polishing furniture, emptying trash containers and ashtrays, restocking beverages and food items in the mini bar, cleaning public areas, such as corridors).
  • Reporting any technical issues and maintenance needs.
  • Updating status of guest rooms on assignment sheet.
  • To maintain the high standards of cleanliness.
  • To provide and promote a welcoming, friendly, personal and professional service.
  • To control the security of the hotel and Report work related accidents, or other injuries immediately upon occurrence.

Financial Responsibilities:

  • To control Linen, chemicals, toiletries and guest supply purchases.

Salary:
£12.00-£14.00 per hour
