We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to become part of our team at the Wells Road Centre pharmacy department.


As a Pharmacy Assistant you will carry out a range of duties covering areas of the pharmacy department, including dispensary and distribution, to provide an efficient and comprehensive pharmacy service.

There is a requirement to possess an NVQ level 2 in pharmacy services (or
equivalent) however we can fund the course and provide on the job training to complete the qualification.

This position will rotate between dispensary and stores/distribution role.

The successful applicant will be expected to cover all the following aspects within the department:


  • Work in pharmacy stores receiving and processing orders & solving queries
  • To assist in the provision of a ward topup service, visiting various sites
throughout the trust

  • To ensure accurate stock control of medicines
  • Accurately and efficiently dispense and label medicines for patients
  • You will be required to work closely with other members of the pharmacy
team, to help deliver an efficient and effective pharmacy service to the
hospital.


Hours of work will be:

8.30am to 4.45pm whilst working in pharmacy stores

8.45am to 5pm whilst working in dispensary

There is currently no requirement to work weekends or bank holidays

You should have GCSE grade C or equivalent in English and Mathematics and a science.


A full UK driving licence and vehicle for business use is required for this post; however reasonable adjustments will be made for disabled individuals in line with the Equality Act 2010.
