Care Co-Ordinator - Penarth or Llanelli Offices

Office Working

  • Shift work will be required with excellent enhancements of 41% x your basic salary per hour paid for Saturdays & weekday night duty (8pm to 6am) and 83% x your basic salary per hour paid for Sundays and Public Bank Holidays_

What the Care Co-Ordinator will be doing:


  • Rostering: Maintain staff rotas to ensure adequate resource allocation and monitor staff adherence to contracted rota requirements. Liaise with Marie Curie Nurses regarding coverage for shifts, demonstrating tact and persuasive skills.

Scheduling: Input patient information into relevant systems, ensuring accuracy and availability for Marie Curie nurses. Coordinate care provision by communicating with families, referrers, and local community teams. Prioritize caseloads and maintain comprehensive records on Marie Curie Systems.

Allocations: Coordinate clinical service allocation based on priority, handovers, and information from Marie Curie Nurses and referrers. Communicate with patients, families, and referrers to confirm visits and address any changes. Ensure up-to-date information is available for effective work allocation.

  • Excellent Communication and Organisational Skills: You possess exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, allowing you to liaise effectively with healthcare professionals, volunteers, patients' families, and carers. Your organizational skills ensure efficient coordination of care services.

Commitment to Complex Care:You demonstrate a strong commitment to helping patients with complex care needs. Your compassion and dedication contribute to providing the highest level of care and support to individuals and their families.

Attention to Detail and Accuracy: You have a keen eye for detail and maintain a high level of accuracy in your work. Your attention to detail ensures that data and information are accurately inputted into operational and clinical systems, supporting effective care delivery.

Excellent computer skills:The ability to use a variety of systems on a daily basis with ease and to be able to learn and adapt to new systems.
