sportscotland is the national agency for sport in Scotland. Our vision is an active Scotland where everyone benefits from sport.

Do you have demonstrable experience in providing support for athletes as they progress through the development pathway in performance? This includes support with life and transition; mental health, wellbeing, and welfare; and a skilled ability to listen, engage and source solutions.

If so, this role could be for you.

sportscotland is currently looking for several Performance Lifestyle Practitioners who will deliver Performance Lifestyle services to athletes within an integrated multi-disciplinary sports science and medical support team to optimise athletes' wellbeing, development, and success.

We would prefer staff to have local knowledge and be based across the North of Scotland.

We anticipate that staff would be based at ASV in Grampian, Inverness for Highlands, but are interested in recruiting staff who live across the North of Scotland, including the Islands to provide cover and support.

These roles will include a blend of office, sporting environment and home working.

These are key roles which will prepare athletes for success on the world stage including the Commonwealth Games, Olympic and Paralympic Games, and world class competition.

Our focus on working with performance development athletes in the North of Scotland is also a key part of the role.

The practitioners will support athletes on a one-to-one basis to develop and support athletes transitioning through the performance development pathway.

You will manage distractions and transitions that influence the performance of athletes; building a lifestyle that is conducive to performance considering education, career, and personal demands, with a consistent focus on athlete welfare, health, and wellbeing.

To be successful in this role, you must have a flexible approach and an ability to travel across Scotland. You should also have a positive attitude, supporting a team of high performance staff working with performance athletes.
