We have a fantastic opportunity to join our Operations Scientist team as a Scientific Offer on a fixed term contract for 6 months.

The Role

  • As Scientific Officer, you will provide critical support to the team to ensure that all of the company's operational and regulatory requirements with respect to water quality are met. This includes;
Attend on site visits to carry out audits and inspections.

  • Compile data and provide informative commentary for reports.
  • Decide on and approve what samples are taken and for what parameters.
  • Instruct the Sampling team to collect adhoc samples as required.
  • Support the Operations Scientist to decide on and remedial work to be undertaken to resolve water quality complaints.
  • Decide on and approve what actions are taken following a water quality issue.
  • Schedule extra samples to aid in investigations and monitoring.
  • Support the Operations Scientist to respond to all water qualityrelated calls concerning production and supply issues, distribution network issues, sampling failures and incidents phoned through from the customer call centres.
  • Liaise with stakeholders internally and externally, representing the business in a positive and professional manner.
  • Support the delivery of projects within Water Quality Services, managing projects to time and quality, and managing risk.
  • Support the Water Quality Services team in delivering water quality related training at all levels within the company and for external groups.
  • Deputise for the Operations Scientist.
Full/Clean/Manual driving licence is required for this role.
